  1. Traditional Copper Buddha Statue Gilding Technique:

When traditional and commonly used gilding techniques are employed to create copper sculptures, their gilding effects are not identical. This difference mainly arises from the varying formulations of glues required when treating the primer. Currently, the glues commonly used for primer treatment are mainly divided into two types: water-soluble glue and toothpaste glue. Water-soluble glue is easier to formulate and operate compared to toothpaste glue, but its gilding effect does not produce the same good gold texture as toothpaste glue. Toothpaste glue solvent is primarily applied directly to the surface of the copper Buddha statue that needs to be treated. However, after application, no protective lacquer is applied to truly reflect the original gold color of the copper Buddha statue. Water-soluble glue also has its drawbacks; it is not resistant to impact, and a slight scrape will remove the gold leaf from the surface of the Buddha statue.

  2. High-Strength Copper Buddha Statue Gilding Technique:

The high-strength gilding technique mainly involves applying a high-strength protective lacquer to the surface of the Buddha statue's gold leaf. The advantage of using this gilding technique is that the treated product is resistant to friction, scratches, scuffs, and acid-alkali corrosion.
